Sri Lankan law enforcement authorities have arrested eleven individuals, including a suspected member of a Colombo-based underworld gang, during a coordinated operation in Chilaw.
The Special Task Force (STF) led the raid targeting a criminal network involved in illicit activities in the region. The arrested individuals are believed to have links with organized crime syndicates operating in and around Colombo.
All suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue to determine the extent of their involvement in criminal enterprises. Authorities are examining potential connections to broader underworld networks.
This operation reflects the ongoing commitment of Sri Lanka’s security agencies to dismantle organized crime groups and enhance public safety.
