Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to India, Ms. Maheshinee Colonne, officially presented her credentials to Indian President Droupadi Murmu today (29th) at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.

During the ceremony, High Commissioner Colonne highlighted the strong partnership between Sri Lanka and India, noting that the visit by President Ranil Wickremesinghe in December 2024 and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Sri Lanka in April 2025 had significantly strengthened bilateral ties.

She also expressed Sri Lanka’s gratitude for India’s consistent support during difficult times, emphasizing the depth of the longstanding friendship between the two nations.
