Gaza City – July 30, 2025 — At least 48 Palestinians were killed and dozens more injured on Wednesday while waiting to receive food aid at a crossing point in the Gaza Strip, according to reports from a local hospital.

The incident occurred amid a dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where food shortages and restricted access to essential supplies have left many residents struggling to survive. Eyewitnesses described chaotic scenes as crowds gathered in hopes of receiving aid, only for violence to erupt.

Medical officials confirmed the toll, noting that hospitals in the area are overwhelmed with casualties, many in critical condition. The crossing, a key point for aid delivery, has seen repeated clashes as Israeli forces maintain strict control over movement in and out of Gaza.

International organizations have condemned the violence and called for immediate measures to protect civilians and ensure safe passage for humanitarian aid.

The ongoing conflict has severely damaged infrastructure and limited access to basic necessities, with more than half of Gaza’s population facing food insecurity and lack of clean water.

The incident adds to mounting international concern over the escalating violence and its devastating impact on civilians in the region.
