Islamabad – July 30, 2025 — Pakistan has strongly rejected recent Indian accusations linking it to the Kashmir attack, calling New Delhi’s statements “replete with fabrications and distortions.”
The response came after Indian officials alleged that the attackers involved in a recent militant assault in Indian-administered Kashmir had ties to Pakistan-based groups. India claims that cross-border infiltration and foreign support continue to fuel unrest in the disputed region.
In a statement issued by Pakistan’s Foreign Office, Islamabad condemned the attack but categorically denied any involvement, calling India’s narrative a “desperate attempt to deflect attention” from what it described as ongoing human rights violations in Kashmir.
“Such baseless allegations are not new. India has a long history of blaming Pakistan without credible evidence,” the statement read. “The recent remarks are nothing more than politically motivated rhetoric.”
Pakistan further accused India of using the incident to justify increased military presence and crackdowns in the region, and called on the international community to take note of the deteriorating human rights situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
The two nuclear-armed neighbors have long been at odds over Kashmir, a Himalayan territory claimed in full but controlled in parts by both countries. The region has seen heightened tension in recent months, with frequent skirmishes along the Line of Control (LoC) and renewed concerns over regional stability.
While India maintains that it is fighting terrorism within its borders, Pakistan insists on resolving the Kashmir dispute through dialogue and in accordance with UN resolutions.
Tensions remain high as both sides continue to exchange sharp diplomatic barbs, even as international observers urge restraint and a return to talks.
