Dubai, August 3, 2025 — Dubai has recorded an impressive 9.88 million international tourist arrivals in the first six months of 2025, a 6% increase compared to the same period last year. The figure marks a significant milestone for the city’s ambitious tourism growth agenda and reflects Dubai’s steady recovery and expansion as a global travel destination.
The announcement, made by the Department of Economy and Tourism, signals strong momentum as Dubai continues to build on its reputation for offering a diverse, secure, and world-class travel experience. “This achievement highlights the confidence travellers continue to place in Dubai. It’s a testament to the emirate’s consistent investment in hospitality, infrastructure, and visitor experience,” a senior DET official said.
The performance is directly aligned with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, spearheaded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which aims to position the city among the top three global tourism and economic hubs by 2033.
Analysts point to several factors behind the growth — including streamlined visa processes, high-profile global events, cultural attractions, and the city’s strong safety record. Dubai’s ability to balance modern luxury with authentic regional experiences has also helped sustain interest across a wide range of traveler demographics.
