MARSEILLE – August 5, 2025

United States international Tim Weah is expected to land in Marseille later today to complete a long-term transfer to Olympique de Marseille (OM), club sources have confirmed.

The deal with Juventus has been structured as an initial €1 million loan, with a €14 million buy option that OM are expected to trigger, plus an additional €3 million in performance-based add-ons. Juventus will also retain a 10% sell-on clause as part of the agreement.

Weah, 25, had joined Juventus in 2023 from Lille but found first-team opportunities limited in Turin. The versatile winger and full-back now looks set for a return to Ligue 1, where he previously played with Lille and enjoyed domestic success.

He is expected to undergo medical examinations shortly after arrival and could be officially unveiled by OM within the next 24 hours, pending final paperwork.

Marseille see Weah as a valuable addition to their flank options under manager Roberto De Zerbi, with the American’s pace, work rate, and tactical flexibility viewed as key assets ahead of the new season.
