Liverpool are keeping close tabs on French winger Bradley Barcola, viewing the Paris Saint-Germain talent as a potential world-class addition for the future — but as of now, there have been no formal talks or bids, sources close to the club confirm.
The Reds’ current transfer priority remains firmly fixed on Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, who is seen as a more immediate solution to the club’s attacking needs. While Barcola is admired internally at Anfield for his flair, pace, and versatility across the front line, any move is not imminent.
Over in Paris, PSG have no intention of letting Barcola go. Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, football advisor Luis Campos — who brought the 21-year-old from Lyon — and manager Luis Enrique are said to be united in their stance. They see Barcola as integral to their long-term project and are preparing to offer him a new contract to underline their commitment.
The French international, who impressed in Ligue 1 and Europe last season, is reportedly happy in Paris and remains under a long-term deal. While Liverpool’s interest signals how highly Barcola is rated across Europe, any movement would depend on PSG’s willingness — which, for now, is nonexistent.
