San Jose, at number three, highlights the growing significance of the tech sector, driven by Silicon Valley’s continued dominance in innovation and technology development. Tokyo and Paris round out the top five, reflecting the strength of Asia and Europe’s major economic centers.
The United States dominates the rankings with six cities in the top 15, including Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, and Washington DC, showcasing the country’s diverse and influential urban landscape.
Australia’s Melbourne secures the ninth spot, while Zurich, Dublin, Stockholm, and Copenhagen represent key European players, emphasizing their roles in finance, technology, and quality of life.
The index, compiled by Oxford Economics, measures cities based on business activity, human capital, information exchange, cultural experience, and political engagement, revealing evolving global economic dynamics and urban influence.
