Doha, Qatar — Qatar has strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent announcement of plans for a full military takeover of the Gaza Strip, describing the move as a “dangerous development” that will worsen the already dire humanitarian crisis in the enclave.

In an official statement, Qatar’s Foreign Ministry denounced the plan in the “strongest terms,” warning that it risks deepening the suffering caused by the prolonged conflict and threatens to undermine ongoing efforts to negotiate a lasting ceasefire.

Qatar has been a key mediator throughout the conflict, facilitating past ceasefire agreements and prisoner exchanges between Israel and Hamas. The Gulf state called on the international community to urgently intervene to prevent further bloodshed and escalation.

This condemnation follows similar expressions of concern from multiple countries following Netanyahu’s announcement, reflecting growing global alarm over the potential humanitarian consequences of intensified military operations in Gaza.
