Abu Dhabi, UAE — The United Arab Emirates has joined the growing chorus of nations denouncing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s announcement to militarily occupy Gaza.
In a strongly worded statement, the UAE’s Foreign Ministry condemned the plan “in the strongest terms,” warning of its “disastrous consequences,” which they say will lead to more innocent casualties and worsen the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
The statement urged the international community—highlighting the role of the United States—to intervene promptly and halt what it described as a looming slaughter.
The UAE’s condemnation adds to mounting global concerns over escalating violence and the dire situation faced by civilians in Gaza.
