Aluthgama, Sri Lanka — A 48-year-old Vietnamese woman has died after drowning while swimming at Moragalla Beach, police confirmed.
The incident occurred while she was spending leisure time at the beach with a group of companions. Authorities said she was caught in a strong current and swept away.
Her body was later found washed ashore at Bentota Beach. Police have launched further inquiries into the incident.
